Depends on your natural color and what color you're going to. I have dark brown hair and recently had my roots touched up (gray) and some minor highlights put in, it took about 2.5 hours. My stylist told me that I could go any color, including platinum blonde, but something like that would take literally all day (since my hair is dark brown). It can really vary.
