Hair cutting question.......?

I used to have long bangs...well they were down to my shoulders or below my chin...anyways I cut them up to my eye brows and they grew so fast their already below my eyes...they grew about an inch or so, BUT the rest of my hair didn't grow with it.

Why is that? Does your hair grow longer if you cut it?

Hair cutting question.......?

Go to the hairdressers.

Usually when you cut dead ends off your hair it will grow somewhat faster.

There may be other reasons to it, but think about hair loss.

You naturally lose hair throughout the day. It can be long or short hairs. now he's the clever bit.

If a short hair falls out, it doesn't take as long to be replaced to it's original length, so shorter hair seems to grow faster.

If a long hair falls out, it takes a lot longer to be replaced to it's original length, so it takes a lot longer for longer hair to reach larger lengths.

That's just my logic anyway.

Oh, and to add, cutting hair apparently is a myth saying it makes it grow faster. It's just by cutting it regularly it takes care of split ends and damaged hair, making it much healthier and better at growing basically.

Hair cutting question.......?

yes ur hair becomes stronger and thicker if cut regulary. but is suprising that it would grow that fast and the rest of your hair wouldnt.

you may have a few split ends. its no big problem just have your hair trimmed.

Hair cutting question.......?

yes.. that's what i do know.. i really do not know the scientific explanation about it.. but it was a common belief.. likewise a baby's hair must be shaved off so it will go longer, thicker, and faster.. so if you want to grow up or make your hair longer, have it trimmed for at least every two weeks.. :)

Hair cutting question.......?

As a male that's been cutting his own hair for over 20 years, i would say that it does grow longer and thicker when you cut it. I can cut my hair completely bald and would nee another hair cut in about 2 weeks. That's why i cut my own hair, saves a lot of money. 26 week x $10 = $260/ yr for haircuts....bought some good $80 clipper and save $80...not to forget time and more money going to a barber shop.

Hair cutting question.......?

Hair does NOT grow faster or thicker if you cut it - it is a biological function of your body that is not affected by how often or how short you cut your hair. Hair grows at an average rate of 1/2" per month regardless of your styling or haircutting. Only your diet and health will affect your hair growth rate.

Hair, however, can appear to be thicker and longer because the blunt end of the hair shaft has been severed at a thicker - more visible - diameter instead of tapering to a finer - less visible - point. It is an optical illusion and should not be confused with actual hair growth.
