Can a person donate their hair to help defray the cost of a wig for a cancer patient?

My friend has breast cancer %26amp; she is starting chemo therapy. She may want a wig. I have very long hair %26amp; would cut it %26amp; donate it in her name to help defray the cost of a nice wig. Is this possible? My daughter donated her hair to an organization for kids when her cousin had cancer.

Locks of love makes wigs for cancer patients. I'm not sure how it works but I linked the website and the guidlines for donation for you. Best of luck to you and your friend.

I have heard about people getting their own hair cut and made into a wig for themselves. That would prolly be pricey for you and your friend to do. I would call locks of love, and maybe the cancer soceity.
