I want to surprise my husband with having long hair at his basic training graduation...?

I had long hair when we got married 5 year ago and cut it REALLY short a couple years ago. I am growing it back out right now but I was thinking of showing up at his graduation in mid Oct with long hair. I want to know something about hair extensions before I go and do it though. Like does it hurt having them put in? Are they really expensive? Will I be able to put my hair in a pony tail or fix it in an up do without them showing? Any experiences you have had would be a great help. THANKS

the best kinds (human hair) cost about $20-$30 a pack...you'll probably need about 4 or 5...thats how much it costs where i live (..in the ghetto lol) elswhere may be much more expensive...to get it put in i guess from $50-$80 (once again..in the ghetto..other places are more expensive lol)

Actually I know absolutely nothing about getting hair extensions except the fact that I've heard they are really expensive.
