I agree with the above answer - it could be thin because it is splitting, in which case you really do need to bite the bullett and have a haircut.

The other option is to try some different styles whilst it grows out - so that you can eventually create the look that you want.

if that is the case then i think it would be best to get it cut but because you want the length then dont. If you have layers then grow them out.

volumizing cream after you showered

then blow drying your hair while your face is facing the ground

then straighten it

or you can tease your hair

or volumizing mouse or gel after you styled it

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the thinning at the end of the hair is split ends, If you don't get them cut or at least trimmed the split will travel up the shaft and cause more damage. So, first off go to your stylist %26amp; cut off as much as you can bear. Then you can try curling the ends under to hide them.

Hey hun! Unfortunately hair tends to look thinner as it gets longer. I agree with the others that a trim to take off split ends is necessary, but don't worry an inch or two would be sufficient. To volumize hair, try blowdrying your hair with your head upside down. Dry the roots first, while gently massaging all the time to add body and make it look thicker. There are some very good volumizing shampoos on the market, I personally am a huge fan of Pantene Pro-V Full and Thick shampoo. Although I personally have never had any success with volumizing mousse, others have, so give it a try.

If none of these suggestions work for you, perhaps you could get a slightly shorter cut, perhaps two or three inches past shoulder length. Such a style would stilll be quite long, however it would be the optimum length for creating the illusion of fullness.

Good luck!
