I had my hair cut in to a bob style after having long hair (i always wore it up though) but i dont feel so sexy as i did, do you think its cause its a new do and im not used to it as yet??

I am sure your hair looks great but it always takes time to get use to seeing a new cut or new hair color. The last time I got mine cut I felt like I looked like a boy but everyone else loved it and after a few days I also loved the new haircut.

It's coz ur not used to it. I did the same about six months ago and I felt the same. Once your used to it and you've found new ways to style it and you've been out a few times you'll love it. Short hair all the way!!

How the hell are we supposed to know that without seeing a picture of you? Your hair frames your face and a different cut can have a dramatic affect on the way your face looks. I will not commit.

probably...sometimes when you make a major change, it takes a while to get used to it.....remember, it's only hair...it grows back...i wouldn't be too concerned with it...it you were sexy beforehand, then chances are that you still are sexy....if you were ugly beforehand, cutting your hair isn't going to change that either....so just give it some time..i'm sure it will all work out just fine in the end.

give it time,i'm sure it will grow on u and u will like it more each day. bobs are cool..is it a plain bob or is it graduated for height and volume(coz that's cool and gives it more of an dge). I felt the same,my hair was all the way down my back and i went for the chop,felt bald for a wee while but have had it cropped short since then!!! i'm sure u look fab!! xx

i did exactly the same thing,only went even shorter than a bob!Im sure it looks nice,BUT i totally understand how you feel,i hated my new hair,i felt butch and un sexy and ended up putting scarves and stuff in it to girlyfy it.Poor you,i totally sympthise with you.You can buy human hair extentios and glue or clip them in very easyly yourself.I ended up doing that as soon as it grew past my ears so i could hide the join.I live in uk and you can buy them off ebay or at most markets,they look amazing and are sooo cheap.If you get real hair ones,you can even dye them to match your hair colour,i honestly use them all the time now. i recommend using them on a clip so you wont ruin them by washing them everytime you wash your own hair,try it im sure it will make you feel better x x

i think bobs are cute! but some hairstyles just look better on certin people. you will learn to like it. i have not cut my hair more than half an inch in a long time so i would feel be strange too.

If you are worried, get some layers cut into it to add movement. You can then texturize it to make it a little piecey.

If you tied it up all the time, you will have to get used to it being down all the time, getting used to a new hairstyle always takes a while, I'd just play around with it, try creating a fringe and make a quiff at the front that's still chic at the moment, in fact try to find some photos of Kylie Minogue, she has a bob and her hair looks great all the time, with grips and slides etc.

Have to say though, you're more daring than me, I have long hair but haven't got the courage to get it chopped off ;D

most hairstylists have not been taught how to use a razor, much less how to use one PROPERLY. they don't want to screw up your pretty long hair (because they don't know how to do their job).

ask around town "who does razor cuts?" or ask someone whos hair you like who does hers. go to that person and ask if your hair is the correct texture to razor cut.(some aren't)

well you are kind of contradicting yourself. for choppy razored layers you kinda have to take a big off the length at least in the layers. You can keep your base length but still a bit will come off. we ask questions like that so we don't start cutting and your like " oh my god-you just cut 4 inches off the top!" so you have to be willing to part with some. If you have said all this to a hairstylist that you didn't care about that part-well then it's just their fault. some people are scared to cut with a razor too. I think higher end salons the people have been trained more for that. here's some pics I found

I have naturally straight and dark brown hair which currently cuts off right underneath my bust. A few of my friends say to chop it off and try something new, and other's say grow it out longer. I have a slender oval face and a fair complexion, so what should I do with it?

i was always against change and side bangs but not i do it occasionally. i didnt get it cut i just brush them to the side when my hair is straight. it looks really nice and my bf LOVESit! go for it. if you dont like it hair ALWAYS grows back unless your 94! lol

you have the bone structure and the face shape to pull off a really short cut, you would look stunning, so the answer is a short cut low maintenance and a more pixie type cut that would suit you, go for it girl you will look stunning

You should place an emphasis on consuming vegetables, fruits, whole grains, brown rice and potatoes. It is recommended that you obtain 55-60% of your daily calories from the carbohydrates found in these foods.

3. Achieve a healthy balance of dietary fats.

Fat is used in energy production and can be found in both animal and plant foods. Your body needs sufficient levels of fat to maintain good health. That fat should be obtained from a mixture of lean animal and plant sources. Roughly 25-30% of your daily calories should come from these sources.

#If you are in a phase of actively trying to grow out your hair, you may want to supplement your protein intake with liver. Some nutritional experts also recommend brewer's yeast, wheat germ, and granulated lecithin to help your body process the protein. here are a few home remedies for your hair..................

* Beat an egg. Apply on scalp %26amp; wash after 1hr with shampoo. egg strengthens hair %26amp; makes it thicker.

its also a good conditioner for hair.

*Soak the green beans for one night. Filter it and then take the filtered green beans water and rub to your hair. Massage your skinhead gently. Do it regularly until your hair is appearing thick and healthy.

*Grind fenugreek seeds in water and apply on your scalp.

Wash off after 40 minutes. Do this every morning for a month.

*Boil rosemary leaves in water and use this water while washing your hair daily to improvehair growth.

*Boil 1 cup of celery leaves with stems, strain and add juice of 1 lemon. You can rinse your hair with this after washing your hair. It makes your hair look healthy and lustrous.

*Rinsing your hair with one juiced lemon and one cup of water is said to bring life and shine back to dull hair.

*Massage the scalp with egg yolk, leave for 1 hour and wash.

*Massaging your scalp vigorously with your fingers promotes hair growth.

*Rub olive oil into the scalp to promote hair growth.

*Massage warm castor oil + almond oil into your scalp gently.

Wrap a hot towel around your scalp so it gets absorbed into the hair. Do this twice a week for healthy, shiny hair.

*Take an egg yolk and lather into wet hair. Leave in for a few minutes and it helps condition and adds protein, which helps against breakage and hair loss.

*Add 2-3 drops of honey to a glass of water and use this as the last rinse after shampooing.

Also, if it hurts to brush it, try using the technique of holding a bit of hair in one hand and brushing it in the other. When you move the brush over the hair, the tension (and pain) stops where the hand is gripping the hair; next to no pain is felt at the root of the hair, on the scalp.

I am damned arrogant about my hair, cuz it's down to my hips and as healthy as ever. Leave her hair ratty for the week, and then comb it, roughly like my mother did. I have the same problem. Try only clipping back the front/top in bobby pins. It holds really well and for the most part it keeps your hair out of your way. I use 4-6 bobby pins to do so or a little hair clip. It's easy and cute.

Wash your hair with a volumising shampoo and conditioner and then blow-dry with your head turned upside down to create fullness and volume at the roots. If you have fine hair, do not add conditioner as it is too heavy, try a thickening spray instead.

Once hair is dry, add some large velcro rollers, or use a large curling tong, to divide off small, random sections for soft, wavy, loose curls.

Once hair is curled, style with either a brush or your fingers and then add a touch of hairspray to mould the style into shape.

I rarely ever get split ends and I want to grow out my hair to my waist as fast as possible. I deep condition it every few days and I only dye it every 4 or 5 months how often is it really necessary to cut my hair? and how often do you get your hair cut? Every 6-8 weeks. Sorry, but that's the standard. Hair grows 1/2 an inch every month, and even though you aren't coloring very often, you still have the effects of weather, air, curling, blow drying, straightening etc. So you should find a hairdresser you trust to trim ONLY the split ends, and keep up on the trimming. If you want to make it quiker, I'd suggust you add doing a deep conditioning %26amp; hot oil treatment into your routine (once a week for each is fine). That way, you will be less likely to have split ends %26amp; need a trim. Also, maybe take a hair/nails vitamin %26amp; make sure you drink lots of water. (if you are dehydrated, it will show in your hair b/c the new growth will be dry)

I get my hair cut to my chin every summer and it's always nearlt halfway down my back by mid spring. If you want a new do then cut it. Keep in mind that you and put your hair in a pony and on the last loop only bring your hair half way through and you will get a great 'tail that makes you look like you have short hair.

Don't do it if you are nervous or unsure about it. It can have good results though, I had long hair and I cut off over a foot about a year ago and I still have short hair and I love it. good luck : )

As someone who used to have long hair, I cut mine five years ago and have never had the slightest desire to grow it back. I had it long for many years and I've found my new short style suits me a lot better now. Hair grows. Sometimes you need a change. Why not give it a try? Also, maybe some color. Ok, i have really really long, really really thick, really really curly hair, it's been that way most of my life. Every time i get it cut, it's only a maximum of 2 inches. I want a change. And, being that i have this curly, long, thick hair...i've never actually had it styled.

Okay, my hair s a lot like yours so here's some suggestions:

Don't cut it too short. Since it's thick it'll poof right up.

Keep it long enough that it can go in a ponytail. That way when you wake up and feel lazy, you won't have to spend forever on it.

Try getting layers cut if you don't already have them. They can keep your hair from going as thick and will make your curls look nice.

You could also try getting bangs to change things up a bit (if you don't have them now).

Your first choice is to get it cut shoulder length which could be a change. Your other choice could be to really change and get it cut above the shoulder but the problem with that is it may puff up too much . You could buy a hot iron straightener (i have a conair) and try straightening it yourself to try to get rid of the curls too. Its your choice so always pick something that looks good with your face shape also.

Have you thought of purchasing a flat iron. You could then use it to straighten your hair. This is cheaper then getting a straightener put in your hair but can get another look that way.

Besides that I would suggest finding a saloon that you trust their judgment and a stylist that you trust and asking them what they think you should do with your hair. I too have think curly hair so I understand about the style problems. I have recently cut mine shorter and instead of getting curlier I found that it is easier to get straighter. i don't think layers will help it look longer. i have curly hair and get layers so it's not one big puff ball, it gives it nice volume. length, i don't think that's the point of layers.

Layers require quite a bit more work than one length. You could try braiding it or a high ponytail with curls on the end. Side ponytails look good. If you decide to have it highlighted have it done professionally. It will look a lot better. Look in magazines for girls with your same face shape and coloring in order to make a good decision that will make you happy, but don't be too trendy.
